Tea? 1990s is from the Tea? series. It depicts the tradition of enjoying a cup of tea and biscuits with a friend and sitting down together for a conversation to catch up with each other’s news. This can be an important emotional support system and is an invaluable part of our culture.
The 1990s tablecloth is Bramble Berry by Laura Ashley in the blue/green colour scheme, was quite the challenge to paint, especially with all the intricate details in perspective. Despite the time required, I’m thrilled with how it turned out!
I also love the Denby Imperial Blue crockery which I use every day.
And of course, no 1990s scene would be complete without McVities chocolate and plain Hob Nobs, I almost lived on these through my five years at university!
